Symposia

In 2007 Don joined a community of artists to carve granite and basalt artworks at the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium held on the northern peninsula of Acadia National Park in Maine. These sculptors were selected by a national jury to produce commissioned public landmarks for local townships. At the invitation of the Winter Harbor community, Don created a monument in honor of maritime industry. Named Cleat, it metamorphoses from a boat to a massive piece of iconic hardware depending on the level of the tide.
